Frequently Asked Questions
Go-karting's thrilling world often evokes images of speed, strategy, and adrenaline. But beyond the racetrack lies an opportunity for businesses to accelerate their brand recognition and foster community ties. In the UK, youth go-karting has emerged as more than just a recreational activity; it's a training ground for tomorrow's motorsport champions. By sponsoring a budding talent, companies can steer their brand towards new avenues of growth and community engagement.
By supporting a young driver, a business demonstrates its commitment to nurturing talent, promoting sportsmanship, and investing in the future. This strengthens the company's reputation as not solely profit-driven but genuinely cares about fostering potential.
With numerous regional events across the UK, sponsoring a youth driver ensures that a business's branding consistently reaches local audiences. Every time the young racer hits the track, it's the sponsor's logo that shines, leaving an indelible mark on spectators' memories.
The rise of a promising go-karting talent often garners media interest. Local newspapers, television broadcasts, and even national motorsport publications might pick up the story, amplifying the sponsor's visibility.
Go-karting events bring together a mix of families, other businesses, and motorsport enthusiasts. Sponsors can leverage these gatherings for networking, forging invaluable partnerships or even gaining new clientele.
By supporting local talents, businesses become an integral part of the community's fabric. Residents begin to associate the brand with positive contributions to youth development, leading to a strong localised customer base.
Compared to other sports, youth go-karting sponsorship can be relatively cost-effective. Yet, the returns, in terms of brand visibility and goodwill, can be tremendous.
Today's youth are tomorrow's consumers. Engaging them at a young age through their passions—like go-karting—can pave the way for enduring brand loyalty.

Accounting treatment
Payments for sponsorship are treated as a business overhead, similar to other advertising and promotional costs. As such, these costs are tax deductible meaning that the company can reduce its profits by the sponsorship amount and thus save Corporation Tax, which currently is 25%, with a reduced rate of 19% for companies with taxable profit below £50,000 each year. I am 13yrs old, and both me and my best friend who is 12yrs old live, breathe, and ultimately, have a dream to have a career in motorsport.
We are supported by our parents who are doing everything they can to financially support us in our journey, but we need help. It is no lie that motorsport is expensive, especially as we enter the world of semi-professional motorsport. We both hold Motorsport UK licenses and are racing in Motorsport UK events. We are out getting seat time in our Karts every weekend and Race in a recognized UK event at least once a month. Every time we sit in our Karts, it incurs a financial burden. We need to cover race entrance fees, Licence fees, fuel, transport, safety clothing, overnight stays, and the maintenance of our Karts. We have the opportunity to join a professional race team to guide and train us to become the best, but again, that comes with a financial burden. We are already turning heads in the paddocks, but we need support to progress in the sport. Im sure you have read "My Journey", if not, please have a read. We will not disappoint you and will do everything we can to not only excel as racing drivers but also to excel in ourselves to become the best we can and to help others. We love our chosen sport, we love our families and we want to succeed in life, and ask that our sponsors are involved in our journey, learning with us and us learning from others.
Your support will help not only myself but also my best friend. All sponsorship will be shared, and all promotional aspects will appear on both our Karts, race suits, and our individual social media accounts.
We respectfully offer three types of sponsorship levels:
Bronze - £250+/- per month
Silver - £500+/- per month
Gold - £1000+/- per month
Each level receives different benefits to promote your brand. Please get in contact to discuss
In conclusion, UK businesses stand on the brink of an exciting opportunity. By sponsoring a youth go-kart driver, they're not just investing in an individual's dreams but propelling their brand into a realm of local recognition, positive association, and potential growth. It's a win-win scenario accelerating a company's journey towards lasting community impact and brand prominence.
